Varsity Head Coach
Coach Sarensen enters his second year at Archbishop Carroll High School, bringing 16 years of coaching experience, including his 10th as a varsity coach, to the program. As the head coach at Springfield Catholic Central High School from 2016–2019, he led his teams to two conference and two district championships. He also gained valuable collegiate experience as an assistant men's basketball coach at Wittenberg University, contributing to a regular season championship and an NCAA DIII Sweet 16 appearance. Prior to arriving at Carroll, he taught and coached at London High School for five years. Beyond his coaching role, Coach Sarensen is an Intervention Specialist entering his 13th year in the field. He and his wife, Maggie, have two boys and a daughter.
Varsity Assistant Coach
Coach Tony Ricciuto is a highly respected figure in the Dayton area, bringing an incredible 40 years of coaching experience to the Archbishop Carroll basketball program. His remarkable coaching career includes a memorable stint as head coach at Springfield Catholic Central, where he secured three District and two Regional titles, earned state runner-up honors in 1995, and led his team to the Division IV State Championship in 1996 with All-American Jason Collier. He also dedicated 34 years to the Chaminade Julienne boys basketball program, contributing to four state tournament trips. Off the court, Coach Ricciuto recently retired from a distinguished 46-year career in education, having most recently taught Advanced Placement European History and Honors World Culture at Chaminade Julienne. He is a devoted husband to his wife, Brenda, for 44 years, a father to three grown children, and a proud grandfather.
Assistant Coach
Coach Parker Sullivan serves as an assistant coach for the Archbishop Carroll basketball program, bringing a wealth of experience and a proven track record of player development. He boasts 13 years of coaching experience, including nine years as a varsity assistant or junior varsity coach across six different schools, including Beavercreek and Greenon. His ability to elevate programs is evident throughout his career: he helped guide Greenon to their first winning season in 17 years (2019–20) and assisted Madison-Plains in achieving a remarkable 10-win improvement (13–10) in 2016–17. Committed to continuous growth, Coach Sullivan is a member of the Radius Athletics mentoring program and has served as a camp coach for elite organizations like PGC Basketball and the University of Dayton. A graduate of Northwestern High School and Wright State University, he effectively merges his basketball acumen with his 10 years of experience in education, where he is currently employed by Northwestern Local Schools.
JV Head Coach
Coach Sabien Doolittle enters his new role as the Junior Varsity Head Coach at Archbishop Carroll High School, bringing a wealth of high-level experience to the Patriots program. A former All-Conference and All-Ohio standout player at Springfield Catholic Central High School, he went on to play college basketball and is currently a professional skill and development trainer working with both collegiate and professional athletes. Coach Doolittle is also the owner and founder of LSG Premier AAU Basketball, whose program competes on the Puma NXTPRO circuit, reflecting his deep commitment to elite athlete development in the Springfield-Dayton area. Beyond his coaching and training roles, he is currently pursuing his degree in sports management.
Freshman Head Coach
Coach Phil Rivkin brings a depth of experience to the program, now entering his sixth year at Archbishop Carroll High School. After three successful seasons as a Junior Varsity Assistant Coach, he is heading into his third year leading the freshman squad. Prior to his time with Carroll, Coach Rivkin spent five years sharpening his coaching skills as an assistant with the Dayton Metro AAU program. Off the court, his professional life as a Mechanical Designer—building custom aluminum furnaces for a local company—reflects the same focus and technical precision he instills in his players.
